Play Ground Rules


1. Grades Kindergarten and First are limited the red playground.
2. Second grade may use the blue playground if there are no third or fourth grade students using the blue playground at that time.
3. Grades Third and Fourth are to use the blue playground.
4. Students should walk on the playground.
5. Wood chips and stones stay on the ground.
6. Use the sidewalks to gain access to the playground and to leave the playground.
7. Students should remain friendly with their peers.
8. Students may use pleasant language.
9. Students are expected to follow directions of teachers and playground supervisors.
Roller Slide
1. Remain seated.
2. One at a time.
3. Slide down only (no crawling up the slide).
Sit and Spin
1. Remain seated.
2. One at a time.
Swings
1. One person on a swing at a time.
2. Remain seated until the swing comes to a rest (no jumping off).
3. Remain seated on the swing (no standing).
4. Avoid standing in front or behind the swing.
5. Swing back and forth (no twisting or swinging side to side).
6. Avoid holding hands.
Slide
1. Remain seated.
2. Slide feet first.
3. No objects on the slide.
4. Slide down the slide (no crawling up the slide).
5. Limit the slide and ladder to one person at a time.
6. One at a time going down the slide.
Hand Slide
1. Slide one at a time.
2. Slide in the same direction as the last person to slide.
Climbing Wall
1. Climb one at a time.
2. Hold the rope.
3. No jumping off the top of the wall.
Monkey Bars
1. No crawling or walking across the top of the bars.
2. No jumping from the top of the bars.
Cork Screw
1. Remain seated.
2. Down only.
