Kwanzaa Candles
A Fingerplay
Use this poem as a fingerplay or to introduce a real kinara (candleholder) and the mishumaa saba (seven candles) used during Kwanzaa.
Seven little candles all in a line,
Waiting to be lighted at Kwanzaa time.
Come let’s count them---one, two, three,
Four, five, six, seven candles I see!
