The Engineer
A Fingerplay
Sung to the tune of,"Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star."
I ride in the engine.
(Point to self.)
The whistle I blow.
(Pretend to pull the cord.)
I do all the things,
(Point to self.)
that will make the train go.
(Pretend to pull throttle and turn dials.)
Whoo! Whoo! Goes the whistle.
(Put hands to mouth.)
Clickety-clack go the wheels.
(Roll arms in wheel motion.)
I'm chief engineer.
(Pat chest.)
'Til I'm called for my meals!
(Pretend to eat.)
