I really think all the types of Ektapress film (I haven't tried PJ800 yet.) are really good for photojournalism. I am always impressed with their ability to provide good photographs. Also I feel very confident that anything I take (assuming correct exposure and focus) will register in a print even if I can barely see it. Several times I've photographed faint rainbows and always they're easy to see.
Both films feature moderate color saturation, but this can sometimes be a real bonus--you'll almost never end up with garish looking pictures even with poor lighting and no corrective filtration. PJ100 has nice fine grain (the best sharpness but not as exceptional for its speed as PJ400), and it costs $65.95 plus $9.00 shipping at Adorama.
