It must be that the pen is mightier than the sword. For a sword can only destroy a man’s heart, but the pen can change it.
Poetry is the ultimate relief mechanism known to man. There are many ways of releasing tension; most involve violence. But in poetry, the release of emotion and tension has no component of violence.
My poetry is a form of release for me, it allows me to express my emotions without fear, though with some pain.
My poems speak of issues and events. Some of these events have happened to me, others haven’t, and some are similar to my experience. But the underlying emotions are mine, I have felt them. I have been tormented and abused, I have been rejected and I have many regrets. But I can help myself and others by communicating through my poetry.
These poems and these notes were written as much for myself, the poet,
as for you, the reader. I can only hope that you understand my feelings.
