The Treehouse
Note: This was one of my zany ideas. I had this floating around, so I had to put it down on my webpage. Well, on with the good stuff, and the usual disclimers: I do not own Dragonball Z, Akira Toriyama does, and a bunch of other companies that can sue my @$$. Here it is:
Gohan looked at the tree which had a rotting house on the top. The young man placed the wood, nails and other tools on the ground. He touched the bottom of the tree and looked up. Well, he thought, at least some of it is intact. Maybe this wouldn't be as bad. Hope it wil support my weight. Gohan climbed the soggy ladder, and wiped his hands on his pants when he got to the top. The ladder was rotting and bits of wood and dirt had come of on his hands. Gohan started working on the house, and then remembered how the little shack had come into existence.
"Now, Gohan-kun, when you're done with these problems you can go outside and play. And don't give me that look." Chi-chi said, pointing a wooden spoon at him. Gohan, the little boy, well, what Chi-chi thought was her little boy, was doing his trigonometry problems. She knew he could take care of himself. Still, she worried.
"But kasaan, tousan always gets to play outside," Gohan said. the little boy looked at the problems. Ten to go, he thought, with much hope. His little arm moved across working to get the problems done. when he was finished, Gohan threw the pencil down and bounced off of his chair "Done," he asid, flying out the door before his mother could say anything. He quickly traced his father's ki. When he found it, he flew there and eagerly looked around. No one was there. Scratching his head, Gohan didn't see anyone, let alone his fahter. He jumped when his father appeared behind him, and made Gohan jump.
"Ready Gohan?" Goku asked, casualy and calmly.
Gohan nodded with eagerness. "Uh-huh. You bet I am. Can we start." The chibi asked.
Goku looked down at him. "Course' we can. why do you think we're out here?" Goku asked. Gohan grinned widely and picked up a hammer, careful to not let his father get it. They worked for hours in silence, bulding a special something. When it was finished, the two stood side by side, looking at the little house atop the tree. "We're done." Was all he said. Gohan snuck a gance up at him, and looked at his father, whose thoughts were elsewhere.
"tousan'. TOOOUSAAAAAAAN!!!! HELLLLLLLO!!! ANYONE HOME?!!!!" Goku snapped out of it and looked down at his son flailing his arms. Goku only smiled at him. He turned, hand on Gohan's back, making Gohan come with him. He and Gohan flew off to home.
Adult Gohan looked at the repairs he had made. he had even put in an electrical socket for a TV. He remebered why he did this whole job, and went back to his former home, looking for a specific child.
Goten was up to something with Trunks, usually no good. They were talking and luaghing, and doing whatever it was that was so funny. goten picked up an ant, and friend it with ki. Trunks snickered. "Do it again!" Trunks exclaimed, and his friend happily complied.
Goten hppily complied. Before he could fry one, a familiar ki landed behind him. "Hi oniichan-Gohan." Goten said, not turning. Gohan sighed, not wanting to ask what they were doing. He taped Goten on the shoulder.
"I have something for you. Trunks can come, too." Both litle kids jumped up and forgot all about the ants, marching on the ground.
"What is it? What is it?" Both asked in chorus. Goahn hushed them and nodded for them to follow him. they both happily flew behind him, awaiting the surprise, and both had wide grins on their faces. Gohan landed abruptly. The two kids followed suit.
"Her ya go. I fixed it up for ya." Gohan said, gesturing to the house. Both raced inside and started making plans about which would go where, and whose posters would go in. Gohan smiled. Yeh, they would defintiely enjoy this.
