HEALTHCARE FLUOROSCOPY
A two hour course will be presented on three different occasions
concerning the latest developments in fluoroscopy
and their implications for the operator and patient.
All three presentations are the same, offered at different times and
dates to increase availability. The course has been approved for two Category A continuing education credits by the American Society
of Radiologic Technologists. The program will be presented
as a live lecture in the new State of Alaska laboratory
in Anchorage. Dates and times available include:
March 4, 2005 - 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
(Friday daytime)April 7, 2005 - 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
(Thursday evening)May 15, 2005 - 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
(Saturday)Registration is required.

National Radiologic Technology Week (NRTW) is November 7-11, 2005.
National Sonographer Awareness Month is October 1-31, 2005.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and October 21, 2005 is National Mammography Day. (Third Friday in October)
September 2005 is National Prostate Health Month.
Meetings within the State of Alaska -
- MAMMOGRAPHY COURSE
In the spring semester, 2003, there was a course on mammography at UAA which covered the FDA didactic requirements under MQSA. Erica Wight, Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator taught the course over three Saturdays, and practicum may be scheduled at any site with a registered and FDA certified mammographer.
