After playing 'Baby John' in a school production of 'Westside Story' (as well as incidents
teasing his sister) he discovered his love for singing...and at
Hurlstone he joined the school choir - not considered a 'macho' pasttime there - and soon
became good friends with classmates Phil & Andrew.
As a teenager Toby was known for playing the trumpet, water polo, swimming, 
and having the biggest head *lol*.
He has majored in accountancy and geology, and dabbled with a bit of cooking, but it looks like Toby
has found his calling as the bass-man of the world's greatest vocal group Human Nature :)
He lives in inner city Sydney with his flatmate and two adorable dogs, Napoleon and Josephine, his
"little treasures". When he's not busy with the other Nature boys Toby loves nothing better
than going hard at his Sony Playstation, 
listening to his many cds and generally being a bit of a homebody.
He's also got fantastic taste 'cause he's also a fan of George Michael and Take 6, and The
Nanny.
As well as several solo (ie. without the other HN guys)appearances on tv shows over the years (such as Body & Soul) Toby has recently broadened out further and performed in 2 musicals (as the Emcee in Cabaret, and Kenickie in Grease) to rave reviews. He is also set to take part in 2006's season of Dancing With The Stars, to the delight of his fans! :D

He once wrote a poem about seals: 'Their Death We Seal'
Has plans for a topselling CD... Toby Whistles 20 Scottish Love Songs *giggles - we'd buy it Tobes!!*
He was nearly named Dougal! ..hmm Totally Dougal?! hehe noo ;)
As well as the trumpet, he can also play the piano..and would like to learn the bass or acoustic guitar.
Is admired very much by Céline Dion's stepdaughter Ann Maree! (who btw is now married, so toby you're safe!) hehe ;)
He can sleep anywhere..anytime!
Though he's lived in Australia since his was 'lil, he was actually born in Papua New Guinea..where, according to Toby, his parents just happened to be when he 'popped' out! :)
His fave colours are bottle green and blue.
He lived with the Tierney family for five years while they were getting the group going.
He once knocked out the two corners of his front teeth - swimming in the pool at night! *awww, hugz toby*
He once ate duck butt *laffs* well it was in a foreign country and he couldn't refuse!
His fave drink is Banana & Mango Nectar
He had a car named Kermit!
He can wiggle his ears and is known for a great pig impersonation!
