2008 METAL FROM THE ROCK NEWS ADVISORY: APRIL 01, 2008 FIRES OF BABYLON will release its debut album on April 25 via Metal Heaven.
This classic 1980s-style, shredding U.S. heavy metal band features guitarist Lou St. Paul (WINTERS BANE), vocalist Rob Rock, bassist Kelly Conlon (ex-DEATH), and drummer Robert Falzano (ex-ANNIHILATOR).
ROB ROCK LIVE CD/DVD SCHEDULED FOR 2009 AFM RECORDS RELEASE! The "Rob Rock" band is performing at the PPUSA festival in Atlanta on September 27th 2008. Chaos” was produced by guitarist CJ Grimmark and co-produced by Roy Z and Rob
Rock. Rob Rock wrote 7 of the 11
tracks with long-time partner Roy Z, and the other tracks were co-written by
Rob with Gus G. (Firewind), CJ Grimmark, Bob Rossi, and Liza Rock. The album was mixed and mastered at Hansen
Studios in Denmark by Jacob Hansen. The new Rob Rock CD titled

Rob Rock have only one more show in Florida this year before the band shutdown to finish the new Rob Rock album (the songs are killer! Very high energy and uptempo. January 12, 2002 METAL FROM THE ROCK wish you all a happy new 2002! Rob Rock and his touring band have started the pre-production on guitarist Ricky Renstrom's new blazing neo-classical metal instrumentals album. This new album will also features some vocal songs with guest vocalists. Rock and Renstrom will co-produce the album and co-write the vocal songs. Rock and Renstrom appeared on the new "Powergod" release called "Bleed For The Gods - That´s Metal , Lesson I", performing on the cover songs "Stars" (from the all-star DIO benefit single) and "You and I" (from the MARS Project DRIVER album). Rob Rock's band and Powergod became close during the 2001 tour together with Axel Rudi Pell when they shared a tour bus. Rick Renstrom also does the guitar solo for the song "You and I". Rob Rock recorded his vocals at his home studio and sent the recording to them. Then they added his tracks to the other tracks they recorded. There are a lot of guests on the album and Powergod covers a lot of great songs that they grew up on. It's a rockin' album!
Rob Rock can also be heard on the latest "Edguy" release called "Mandrake", singing backing vocals with his friends from Germany. While on tour last March 2001 with Axel Rudi Pell, Rob Rock stopped in the studio to see his friend Tobias Sammet. As he was there, he sang with him and another great singer Ralf Zdiarstek doing some backing vocals for the new Edguy album "Mandrake". Afterwards, Tobias, Jens Ludwig, and Rob went out to dinner. The next time you hear them sing together will be on Avantasia Part 2 when it gets released later this year. November 17, 2001 Rob Rock's studio plans have been put on hold while Roy Z produces the new Rob Halford album. Rock is patiently waiting for "metal's number one producer", Roy Z's schedule to open up in order to record the follow-up album to "Rage of Creation". Meanwhile Rock and his touring band continue to write songs and play shows throughout Florida.

"Would you believe it – it’s Christmas Rock Night again. Yes, the annual 2-night event that rocks the small village of Ennepetal, Germany every year. The running order this year seemed a little more diverse than the last few, which added to a variety of tones and colors – each worthy of further investigation. Saturday night was one most people will never forget, and was completely sold out, for the first time in CRN history. People travelled from all over the globe for this Saturday night, many of them just to catch a glimpse of Rob Rock playing his first-ever European show. Having heard nothing on the new album but rave reviews, I had been anticipating this gig like a child on Christmas Eve. Rob was all I expected him to be, with great catchy tunes and his incredible voice completely in top-notch form. The show was stolen from him, however, by his talented guitarist Rick Renstrom. Some people would say he is disabled, others would say he is incredibly blessed. Having only three fingers on each hand and shortened arms, he is a major shredder. Rick would give Chris Impelliteri a run for his money, and it was inspiring to see him play. Rob and band had the crowd rocking right from the word go. The new material was easily accessible and these guys, although newly formed for this one-off show, are seasoned musos and gelled nicely." The Rob Rock
