Brief History of the Band:

In 1985,  "Fighting For The Earth" came out, an album which was recorded by Joe Floyd (guitar), Parramore McCarty (vocals), Rick Bennet (bass), Axeman Tommy Askawa and Liam Jason (drums), (who had been replaced already before the release by Jimmy Volpe)

Their label at the time had planned to establish the band as an American answer to the incredibly popular Def Leppard, and had booked suitable to their standard seven months of time in the studio for the band's second album. Eventually they ended up hanging around in front of the mixer for months, for an album which they could have finished within weeks. Once they were finally allowed, their bosses at the music broadcasting station MTV decided, that Heavy Metal wasn't hip anymore. As a consequence, frustration was felt by them and the five split into all directions.  Whilst McCarty joined Steve Stevens, Floyd found his new band Cold Fire. Initially, later Megadeth drummer Nick Menza was battering the drum set.

Joe Floyd's input to the solo albums of Accident Of Birth and Chemical Wedding of ex- and now again Iron Maiden front-man Bruce Dickinson are amazing and those two releases catapulted the producer, who has most importantly been responsible for the rightful implementation of the guitar parts, into the area of the highly in demand producer cracks. Lest we forget, Floyd's awesome contribution with Roy Z in the Tribe Of Gypsies's latest recording "Standing on the shoulders of Giants".

The Warrior comeback occurred in shape of the album "Ancient Future". Continuing instantly at the same place where the group had stopped 13 years ago with "Fighting The World". The second album impressed again with intriguing heavy Rock-Songs, neatly sicilized arrangements and most importantly a guitar sound which combined the traditions of the American mid-80ies metal and modern stylistic elements which also approached the mid-90ies new metal audience. Their live potential was impressively shown at the Wacken Open Air 1998.  A distinct stage act, evoked an captivating atmosphere which immediately pinned down the audience and made warrior the secret favourite of the event.

Summer 2000: The Warriors are seated again with their weapons at their feet in the trenches ready to blast their fans with a new line-up, but with all strengths: drummer Dave DuCey and shouter Rob Rock. The new man behind the Warrior-microphone has a wide range of first class reputation. Rob Rock completed the legendary undertaken M.A.R.S., besides Rock, guitarist Tony McAlpin, drummer Tommy Aldridge and bassist Rudi Sarzo. Even in those days they belonged to the elite of their genre and with Project:Driver they released a sensational album, which is still regarded upon as one of the cult classical melodic speed metal albums among the critics. Furthermore, Rock sang on albums of internationally known artists like the German guitarist Axel Rudi Pell, canadian guitarist Dennis Cameron, another guitar monster Joshua Perahia or the Californian guitar-god Chris Impellitteri.  Rock, who was searching for a suitable studio for his solo album "Rage Of Creation", coincidentially heart from Warrior guitarist Floyd that McCarty, on his own behalf, had left the band which was now without a singer.  Rob Rock later joined the group. The result tells you everything.  "The Code Of Life" again points out the Warrior typical trademarks, but also impresses with Rock's incomparable voice and the almost perfect skill of Floyd to link emotional guitar sounds with his unique technique. Producer/manager Warren Croyle ensures that all fans of the high quality, melodic and rock music of the third album.
