These are some verbs you should know:
putu to put
finu to find
gu to go
befu to befriend
beyu to buy
All the verbs end in U. You can use these as is only when saying them after the long verb (the one that includes the subject).
Xonanidu befu xi nobuko. I need to buy a notebook
And in this next sentence, notice the prefix on 'to buy'.
Xopabeyu xi nobuko. I have bought a notebook.
