CONDENSED MINUTES OF THE CONVOCATION HELD ON Thursday 7th July 2005
AT Chingford Masonic Centre Forest Approach Station Road Chingford London E4
OPENING: The Chapter was opened at 5.00 p.m. with solemn prayer and in due form.

Altogether there were present 29 Companions, including 6 Visitor(s) whose name(s) are recorded. Plus the Janitor.
MINUTES:- Having been circulated with the Summons were confirmed as a true record & signed by the MEZ
BALLOT & EXALTATION:- the Ballot being in favour of Bro. Elliott Chevin who was present in a convenient room adjoining the Chapter the MEZ, requested the P.S. to retire and entrust the candidate.
The P.S. having returned Bro. Elliott Chevin was admitted and assisted by E. Comp. "H" and E. Comp "J" the M.E.Z., obligated him in excellent and fluent manner after which at the instruction of the M.E.Z. the P.S.(His Father) raised him as a Companion of the Order. Companion Elliott Chevin was asked to retire. On his return the discovery of the Royal Arch was in quite splendid form performed and reiterated by the P.S. The M.E.Z. then called upon E Comp Simon Driver to deliver the J Lecture which he did once again in his usual meaningful manner . The MEZ then delivered the Z Lecture in his usual dramatic and captivating fashion. Before the newly exalted Companion took his seat in the Chapter the M.E.Z. showed him the Charter of the Chapter and presented to him a copy of the Bye-Laws and advised him that the Book of Constitutions he received at his initiation also contained the laws and regulations of the Royal Arch.
Elections
E Comp H Mark Abrahams Z E Comp Simon Driver H Comp Laurence Lewis as H The Treasurer E Comp Ivan Kovler the Janitor by a show of hands E Comp Ray Steele and the two auditors were J Ziles & A Cohen Proposed by Scribe E & Seconded by J Bernard.
Proposition The Treasurer Proposed and increase of fees by £10 this was Seconded by Scribe E and carried
Notice of Motion The Scribe E made a notice of motion that Comp David Van Loen becomes a Honorary Member.
Propositions The Scribe E proposed that the Principals be empowered to appoint the Officers for the ensing year this was Seconded by D Max and carried. He also proposed that a Breast Jewel & PZ Collar be presented to Chris Selby in recognition of his sterling work as MEZ this was seconded by R Marks and Carried.
ALMS and ALMONERS REPORT
The Alms collection raised £126 The Almoner gave his report a hearty vote of congratulation was given to E Comp Michael Kenner for his 1st Appointment as Past Provincial Grand Standard Bearer.

THE PRINCIPALS ROSE FOR THE 1st TIME:
The Scribe E stated that there were no Supreme Grand Chapter Communications available at this time.
THE PRINCIPALS ROSE FOR THE 2nd TIME:
The Scribe E stated that there was an Exaltee waiting in the wings for next year.
THE PRINCIPALS ROSE FOR THE 3rd & 4th TIME:

CLOSING: There being no further business to transact the Chapter was closed with solemn prayer and in perfect harmony at 18:25
