SUNRISE lp of '74, considered RARE today *

"SUNRISE" self titled lp by this st. louis missouri group and this is a fun unknown album in the kitsch / kiddie rock genre. all girl group and most cuts are driven by cool, cheesy organ. highlights include a groovy version of "half breed",the slow and easy "colour my world", fun 50's "at the hop", nice solo vocal "last time i saw him", beatles' "when i'm sixty-four", and a great cover of carly simon's "you're so vain".

there's a buncha cuts which, out of context, are winners. nothing polished either - this is on the garage side of the pop fence. liner notes touch on women's lib themes so fun early girl power pop-rock....

Note: There was another band with this name who had an lp in '77 in Holland, we believe they were a completely different band.......

Mrs. CARLY SIMON :)

The WOODEN NICKELS, actually a 60s girl dutch pop band :)

this is siad to be in the PHIL SPECTOR genre....
