SPECIAL REQUEST

Please God:

Give me a baby, I prayed everyday,
Preferably a girl with whom I can play.
I can dress her all up in ruffles and lace
Play with her haie, let her make-up her face.
While we polish our nails I'll teach her about love.
We'll discuss life and feelings and fears.
And along with the laughter we'll share a few tears.

As we go through the years, some tough times we did have--
Our family was broken,
She felt angry and sad.
We moved too many places, many things we did lose.
Even though we were poor, to stay with me she would choose.
She stood by my side, strong and loyal all the way.
We got through the bad times, we got closer each day.
She's relatively more than a daughter to me--
She's my best little girlfriend,
My Brandie and me.

Now she's almost grown up--
She truned sixteen today--
She's the love of my life And to God I Still Pray:

"Thank you for Brandie, special gift from above.
For her beautiful big eyes, so blue and so bright--
For her strawberry-blond hair,
Accounted by skin milky-white.
For intelligence excelling, you above most--
For her spirit and honesty I can't help but to boast.
Please continue to bless her,
Keep her close by your sight.

She's My Sweet Sixteen Girl,
And In Her I Take Pride!
