The New Year is 6 hours away here in Los Angeles, California. Big news for all the people who've seen their fireworks, done the drunken smooch, sat in front of the T.V. with long socks on.
Some words of wisdom bestowed to Broke Kitty during the holiday: some questions do not have answers; in order to be happy, go after what pleases you.
What happens when pleasure becomes an elusive entity?
There is a thing called Avoidance Sleep which many have mastered. This is an art form, much like lying, debating, writing well. One engages in it when opting out of the program.
Nineteen-ninety-nine and two-thousand were evidenced in calendrical time, spotty notes and obligations jotted down in a pocket calendar (or daily planner, if you will). Apparently, shitty years come in couples.
Adulthood brings new nuggets of wisdom. Let it go will be the themesong of 2001. Let it go, and do what you please.
