Neediness must be a manifestation of many things. Sometimes it is clear that the neediest ones are the ones who deny their needs, the ones who can't admit that they need anything from anyone.

Revelations are good things. Revelations about where the love comes from, who wants you , where you are needed.

Sometimes this is a question of respect. Who respects what you do? Who values your presence? Who wants you for you?

At other times, revelations come in the form of conflicting needs. How much shit are you willing to put up with before calling it quits? What, really, does the interchange do for you? Are you setting yourself behind, putting your desires by the wayside, for what amounts to a disservice?

An old Perisian proverb goes, when you save a snake from the fire, be prepared for the snake to kill you. That's what snakes do.

And who are you? A snake or someone else?

Sometimes success functions as the best fuck you to the world. Step on this shit one more time, and see what happens.
