1. Please tell the readers about the band. When it was formed, the line-up, releases and stuff like that.
We have been around about 2 years since Spring Y2K. The line up now is Xaphan, Matte, Dune, Roach and Mass. Last Summer (2001) we recorded a demo in our living room and those 6 tracks are available on CD or Mp3 from our website.
2. How would you describe your music? What are your musical influences?
We are very Death/Black Metal with our sound though all matter of Rock, Punk, Crust, Thrash & Grind influences us. I try to avoid claiming any label as not to upset the ?genre whores?.
3. What inspires you lyrically? What topics do the lyrics deal with?
It?s hard to describe but just to B.S. I?d say the social injustice that stems from human incompetence. For example ? People who REALLY kill others for IMAGINARY reasons.
4. What is the main purpose of your music? Any political/religious message?
We just promote thought. Thinking beyond what one is taught & learning differently from what one knows are essential for the expansion of ones mind. I?d say all politics and religion do is hinder such growth.
5. What about live shows? Have you played any gigs lately? How often do you play live?
We?ve been playing a lot this year. Mostly at local bars & clubs but we have traveled far to play as well. We?ve played almost every other weekend for the passed 6 months.
6. How is the metal scene in your area? Are you in contact with other bands?
It kind of sucks where we live in Texas since Rap/Rock is so popular. However there are some killer bands from around here ? XphyXia, Daimonion, EchoDrain, Irreverence, NeverDead, Necrogazm, Nothing Remains and Detrimental to name a few.
7. Is anybody in your band involved in other projects? If yes, who and which?
Yeah, one of our guitar players. Roach as he is known plays for an Industrial project called Mister 6.
8. What is the best cd / demo you have heard in the last month?
Irreverence are a local Black/Death Metal band whose promo CD is phenomenal.
9. What was the last concert you went to? What was the best concert you have been at?
The last show I went to was a tour with Diabolic, Krisiun, Cryptopsy, & Dimmu Borgir. The year before Dimmu Borgir toured with Cannibal Corpse, which was the best show I?ve been to.
10. What kind of beverage is your favourite? Any special brands? Do you do any drugs?
Besides water I enjoy booze. Captain Morgan?s Private Stock is my favorite rum. I enjoy cider a lot too. We all drink and smoke in sum amount or another. If you call marijuana a ?drug? then you can call us ?stoners?.
11. What can really piss you off?
People?s behaviour, especially of those with moronic mentalities.
12. What are you plans for the future? Gigs, releases and so on.
We?re recording our first album this summer, due for release before we tour the west coast this winter.
