Ian Harte Fact File

IAN HARTE-Current Domestic Club,Leed United

He made his debut in 1996 against Croatia after making just four appearances in the Leeds first team and went on to play regularly in Ireland's doomed 1998 World Cup qualification attempt. He was the only player to play "every minute" during qualification for the 2002 World Cup Finals.

His amazing left foot is the key to Irelands and Leeds set play, as he whips corners and free kicks into the danger zone with deadly accuracy.

However errors on the left-flank have been the concern of conceeding goals with Harte loosing his marker occasionaly, most notably in the World Cup 2002. When hes on form he is a World class player.

Ian Harte is nephew to club and country team mate "uncle Gary Kelly".
