JEFF KENNA-Current Domestic Club,Birmingham Cith Football Club
Another story of the Irish not fitting in at Blackburn with Souness in charge. Jeff joined Birmingham City initially on loan fron Rovers, and was offered a contract, which than transpired to keep him at Birmingham until 2004.
With more than ample cover in the Irish defence, its debatable whether Kenna will feature again the the Republic of Ireland set-up. However Birmingham City were promoted to the Premier League, season 01-02' and Jeff is currently the captain of Birmingham City. He may still stand a chance, but like Kiely time is not on his side. Kenna was the 1995 FAI-Opel U23/Young Player of the Year.
