Injury update in the Irish Camp

Shay Given has a hip injury, which occured in the second-half of the Cameroon game. It was either a clash with Stan or with a Cameroon player. Shay seemed to be in some discomfort after the challenge and his kick-outs were aggrivating it more. Steve Finnan has a groin strain. And Ian Hartes' calf also caused some discomfort in our Group E opener. But all of them "are" expected to be okay, according to the Irish camp today, 03/06/02.

As regards' Jason McAteer, he took another bang on the knee and its too early too say he's a doubt. We will just have to see how he is.

Two of our boys sat out training today - Gary Breen (hamstring) and Steve Finnan.

And German coach Rudi Voeller has a "major worry" in that his key man and central defender, "Carsten Ramelow", may not be fit for the game against us on Wednesday in Ibaraki.
