Irish abroad W-E Sun 03/11

David Connolly stole the show across the Irish Sea, when he sealed victory for the ‘Dons’ in the win (4-2) over Norwich city, with the Republic of Ireland scoring a hat trick at Selhurst Park, taking his goal tally up to 5 in 3 games.

In the same division, Graham Barrett’s Brighton were victors (3-2) over Bradford City. On loan Liverpool winger & Irish intl., Richie Partridge, was part of the Coventry side that beat Rotherham 2-1.

In Div II, Former Republic of Ireland Intl., Graham Kavanagh, scored the opening goal in Cardiff's 3-0 win over Peterborough at a ‘rain drenched’ Ninian Park. Also in the same division, Notts County’s game at Ashton Gate against Bristol City was called off after 51 minutes due to a waterlogged park, but county were leading by a single goal courtesy of Irishman Paul Heffernan.

And in Div III, Brendan McGill scored the winner for Carlisle as they beat Oxford United (1-0). On the back of that win, Roddy Collins Cumbrian Blues move from the bottom of the league table.

Finally in the Premiership, Richard Dunne maintained his performance since his return from suspension following a breach of club discipline, aiding Manchester City to a 2-1 victory over West Brom in the heart of the visitors defence.
