Injuries update – pre Finland fixture

Republic of Ireland international & Wolves midfielder, Mark Kennedy is now expected to be out for a least three months, after having a groin muscle repaired. Midfielder Kennedy has undergone an operation that he is rehabilitating from. The Dubliner had to take himself out of Mick McCarthys World Cup squad, when he felt that he was not 100%. But the Wolves-man has undergone surgery, and is likely to be running again soon, with a view to returning to first team action in about three months.

Connolly too a three months lay-off

David Connolly has also undergone surgery on to repair damaged cartilage in his knee. The Republic of Ireland and Wimbledon striker will be out of action for two – three months, as advised by medical staff. The injury occurred during the Dons 1-1 draw with Swindon in a pre-season friendly. Connolly limped off after just 30 minutes in the game, when he seemed to be tackled hard from behind. He left the ground later on crutches.
