Irish Lads loan deals extended

Arsenal and Irish International striker Graham Barrett has had his loan spell at Brighton extended with the agreement of both clubs until the end of November, following the appointment of new Seagulls boss Steve Coppell

Kilnamanagh born Barrett will now ply his trade at the Withdean Stadium for a little longer than anticipated. However back in September Gunners Boss ‘Arsene Wenger’ informed Brighton that he did not want the Dubliner cup-tied, so it seems that Graham is still part of the French mans plans.

Graham had the opportunity at senior level for the Republic of Ireland in their victory over the Fin’s (0-3) in August, and subsequently scored on his debut.

Speaking on his loan extension Barrett said: ’’I have not shown the Brighton fans what I can do yet. Once I get a few games under my belt I am sure I will start scoring and doing my bit to get the club out of trouble.”

Mansfield Town have extended former Cork City defender, Damien Delaney ’s loan deal from Leicester to November 2nd. Gary McAllister’s Coventry City wish to extend Liverpool’s Richie Partridge loan period by a month. Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has agreed to a one-month loan extension, for Drogheda born Alan O’Hare to div. II Chesterfield.
