Keith O'Neill set for Reserve test - Irish loanees update

Keith O'Neill's injury nightmare may soon be at an end with news that the Dublin winger is fit again and ready to line out for the Sky Blues reserves.

The Coventry and Republic of Ireland international (Last cap v Macedonia (sub)9/10/99), broke his leg in two places in a freak training ground accident in April 2002. The in October and November 2002, O'Neill injured his foot and hand respectively.

But the last two years have been a disaster, with injury after injury keeping O'Neill from any regular football at all. His main injury has been his recurring hip problem.

However the 26-year-old has returned to full training, where he has featured as left back - a position it is believed, O'Neill may have under-studied to Ian Harte, had he been fit for the World Cup 2002.
