Morrison open up Prem. account with 2

Liverpool & Birmingham city shared the points last night, but the highlight for Irish Fans, is that Clinton Morrison opened his premiership account with two second half goals. His first came on the sixty first minute, and his second virtually in the last minute.

In the Premiership Fulham found themselves trailing by a two goal deficit at half time to visitors Spurs, but the Whites (Of Fulham) dramatically grabbed 3 goals back, taking all three points. Finnan took part for Fulham, and Robbie Keane remained on the Bench, yet to make his Spurs debut.

Denis Irwin and Paul Butler were part of the Wolves team that progress to the second round of the Worthington Cup, after a tough battle with 3rd Div. Swansea. After going behind twice, the Molineux men fought back to Dave Jones delight, and former Republic of Ireland internationals, Butler and Irwin were instrumental in their defensive duties. The second half draw will take place at half past two, this coming Saturday, 14 September

Also in the Worthing Cup, Wycombe Wanderers visited Swindon and thanks to a second half strike from Wycombe captain, and Republic of Ireland U21 International Paul McCarthy in extra time, the Wanderers progress to the second round.
