Keith O'Neill breaks his hand

Republic of Ireland and Coventry midfielder, Keith O’Neill, has again sustained an injury, this time he has broken his hand after turning out to support a charity event last week in a ‘test your strength’ game.

O’Neill picked up a broken leg in April this year, in a bizarre training ground accident whereby the Dubliner broke his leg in two places. Ruled out for the first half of this season, during training earlier in October of this year, O’Neill then fractured his other foot.

The last week, after hitting a punch ball at the fund-raiser/charity event, the unlucky Irishman broke his hand. O’Neill was due back to the Sky Blues team after his first injury (leg) in December.

It is not thought the problem will hamper the progress of the Republic of Ireland international, who hopes to be back in action for City sometime in the New Year. O’Neill last played for the Republic of Ireland in 1999 against Macedonia (1-1), in the Euro 02’ qualifiers in Skopje.
