Jason McAteer's 67th minute goal today gave the 46,500 Sunderland fans something to go mad about, considering their season form in general. However the Maccams failed to capitalise on ths goal and The Saints got an equaliser 2 minutes from time. Peter Reid was furious with the 2 point drop, and was fully aware that his side are still possibly three points clear of the relegation zone of the table. Elsewhere Roy Keane did not take part in the 0-1 defeat at Old Trafford v Middlesboro. A 9th minute winner from from Boxsic sealed the three points for the McClaren lot.
