SUN

Robbie Keane scored his fourth goal of the Premiership season today (Sun) at White Hart Lane, against none other than his former club ‘Leeds’ and their under-fire boss ‘Terry Venables’.

Venables sold Keane for £7 million two months ago and today the ‘Tallaght Tiger’ showed what Leeds were missing with an equally sweet strike with the outside of his right foot from the edge of the penalty area four minutes before the break.

Leeds (Gary Kelly and Stephen McPhail featured) have only one win last seven, but today the Yorkshire men never really got going, and Venables may have felt it was not to be his day when Nick Barmby injured himself in the warm-up and Jacob Burns was forced to deputise.

In today’s late afternoon kick off (Charlton v Blackburn), Former Republic of Ireland goalkeeper ‘Alan Kelly’ will deputise for the injured Brad Friedel. Friedel underwent surgery on knee cartilage, and according to today’s news papers, the USA international keeper may be sidelined for longer than originally expected – therefore giving Kelly his chance back in the spotlight after all but a two year absence from the Rovers first team in some 2 years. Dean Kiely will, as per usual, start for the Addicks.
