Liverpools on loan Irish winger Richie Partridge scored his third goal for the Sky Blues in the second half of Coventry’s 2-0 victory over Reading after a quite amazing run that started back in his own half. The Dubliner dribbled his way through 7 Reading players before netting home.
Also in Division I, Dublin native Robbie Ryan was on target for Millwall in their 2-2 draw with Gillingham. It was Ryan’s first goal for the club in over 100 appearances. And former Irish international Paul Butler scored for Wolves in their defeat (2-1) to Burnley.
In Division II former Blackburn striker ‘Ben Burgess’ scored his fourth goal of the season with a first half penalty in Stockports 4-2 defeat at the hands of Mansfield.
In Division III: Irish man Peter Gain scored the only goal for Lincoln City (his 3rd of the season) in their 1-0 win over Macclesfield.
And in the Scottish Premier league, Hibernians Irish goalkeeper ‘Nicky Colgan’ was sent-off for a professional foul in the draw (1-1) with Partick Thistle.
