The Ball is in Micks Court

Mick can look back at his six year reign now and look forward to the future with his team of commited and talented players. Although for the Denmark Ireland played a starting 9 premiership and 2 Div. 1 players, it is now no longer luck that the Republic of Ireland National Soccer Team are roaming the world on Irish luck.

Striking options of Clinton Morrison & Robbie Keane, both different personalities, but of varied talent in the front row. Our midfield line against Denmark "DID NOT" include Roy Keane. Of course Roy will command in Korea, and so he should, because he IS one of the top three midfielders in Europe. No, our midfield consisted of McAteer,Holland, Kinsella & Duff. Stan the man will get the 100 club caps, Cunningham is desperate to impress and his style of clearing and dribbling is on par with Laurent Blanc. Is'nt it wise to keep it in the family too, with Ian and Gary completing the back line?

Does Mick have a worry about keepers? Shay Given, Dean Kiely, Nicky Colgan?.I should think not.

Duff! What a prodigy. Of course Graham Souness had a pop at Mick after last nights game wondering why his Blackburn star played the full 90 minutes? Graham is this not a contradiction in itself, in that in your opinion Duff would not be your starting choice. He is after all Graham, Irish. Do you remember? Carsley,Kenna,McAteer. Why is Mahon, who mirrors a young Duffer out of favour too at the moment? Cause theyre all Irish?

He took some flak when stories of anti Irish bias appeared in the press at the time but he defended himself by saying: "This has obviously been done by someone who is not very happy at the way they have been treated, but it's absolute nonsense." Quote "Afterall, I am married to an Irish woman". Yeah right Graham, whatever......
