Former Shamrock Rovers striker Noel Hunt made his debut for SPL outfit Dunfermline Athletic on Tuesday evening in their defeat {0-1} at East End Park against Dundee United.
Hunt made a late substitute appearance {69mins} and replaced Irish U21 teammate Gary Dempsey. With just three minutes on the field, Hunt struck drilled a right-footed shot from the left-hand side of penalty area over the bar.
It is believed that Hunt arrived at East End Park on Monday, after the Rovers victory {3-2} over Longford –a victory which earned Liam Buckley and the Boys a place in next seasons Intertoto Cup competition.
Incidentally tonight’s goal came as a result of an o.g. by Pars midfielder ‘Barry Nicholson’.
