TERRY PHELAN-Current Domestic Club, Charleston Battery F.C.
In 1992, Terry Phelan was considered the most expensive defender in the world after transferring from Wimbledon to Manchester City for a World Record 2.5 million pounds.
Phelan is rebuilding his career at the ripe old age of 34 and looks fit enough to be half his age - always one of Phelan's trademarks. He still has most of his pace and causes terror for opposing wingers and full-backs when he gets up a head of steam.
He left the lights of London from Fulham, and headed for the States, where he still playes today for Charleston Battery F.C.. The 'soccer' team is part of the EASTERN CONFERENCE, SOUTHEAST DIVISION. He wears the number 3 shirt and playes in defence on the left or center
