Catch 22, Bombs over Providence, Ready to Drop, and the Kung-Fu Rejects
Ready To Drop, an Oakville punk-ska band, were the first group on. This was their last show and it's a shame because they have got something going. Lots of energy, horns, and fun music to skank to, plus these kids love Catch 22. Next up was the Kung-Fu Rejects from Burlington. I did nothing but try to enjoy this band and be open-minded but they made it almost impossible. They might not have been as disappointing if the singer wouldn't have pointed out every mistake each band member made, call someone a 'nazi' for telling them they sucked, and let us know how much they [kung fu rejects] sucked between each song (like we didn't already notice). Bombs Over Providence (x-marilyn's vitamins) were a relief after seeing the last band. They didn't get to play very much because every one of their guitars broke during the set. I think that's a sign of a good band. ha! I heard some emo-rock influences similar to hot water music and saves the day. Catch 22 blew me away. These guys are all about the audience and their fans. I don't know how you couldn't get into this show, almost everyone there was up dancing and singing along. This New Jersey punk/ska band put on one hell of an adrenaline filled show that is unforgettable.
