Did you know Philadelphia has a royal family, they are the Kelly's of East Falls, the Kelly clan emerged from the ranks of the blue collar and climbed the ladder of success often stepping on the toes of what was then known as polite society, the Kelly family was filled with politicians, builders, gold medal olympic heroes, and then there was Grace, a beautiful movie star who became a princess when she married Prince Ranier of Monaco .

But what Grace might not have known is that she was marrying into a curse;

It all started back in the 13th century with Prince Ranier the first, it seems that he was somewhat of a ladies man who double crossed the wrong woman , he was having an affair with a Flemish woman who dabbled in the black arts, after promising her everything he jilted her and married someone else, she placed a curse on the Grimaldi family that none of them would have a long successful happy marriage.

The curse seems to have somewhat of a proven track record when you consider that Prince Ranier the second's mother and father divorced,his own marriage ended in tragedy when his beloved wife died in a automobile accident that sent her car over a cliff.

His daughter Caroline's first marriage ended in divorce and her second marriage ended in tragedy when her husband was killed in a powerboat accident.

Princess Stephanie's marriage also came unravelled when she caught her husband having an affair with a stripper.

Maybe this is why Ranier's son, Prince Phillip, has put marriage off this long. He could be afraid of the Grimaldi curse.
