In June of 1994, a Federal park ranger was in the northwestern part of Independance Hall when, much to his astonishment ,a smoke like mist filtered through the front door of the main building , this mist began to take shape in the form of a man wearing a tri-cornered hat, a long dark coat and white britches, then this apparrition vanished in front of his eyes.

A security guard reported that he had heard sounds of footsteps from a second floor gallery, he knew that he was alone but thought perhaps a tourist had gotten lost and had been locked in after the doors had been locked, he reported that a musty smell permeated the air and that he encountered a very bone chilling cold spot at the top of the stairs, when he arrived at the gallery, there was a mist taking shape of a human being but then it vanished in an instant.

Recently a "paranormal" investigation team took photographs late at at night and recorded some mist shaped forms. Often in photos ghosts appear in a ball shaped form or streamed shape.
