Well, well , well, what have we here? We have been expecting you! Perhaps you had a little car trouble? or maybe you got lost on the way here? Never the less, I am here to give you the "grand" ** tour of Eastern State Penitentiary, my name is unimportant, I am just one of the workers around here, at one time this prison was the creme de la creme, everyone from Charles Dickens to LaFayette came here to see this prison, in 1829 this was a new and novel design in prisons and in inmate treatment.

Eastern State was built with a central hub with hallways extending from it, this way a smaller amount of guards were needed since they could keep an eye on all the hallways and cell blocks from this one central location, this design was copied by over 300 prisons around the world.

Each cell had it's own lavoratory and exercise yard, where the prisoners who were all kept in solitary confinement were allowed to use for just one hour a day. There was one slit at the top of the ceiling to leave light in.The only reading material allowed is the Bible, and there was no communication with the guards or with other prisoners, did you understand all that? good!

Whenever a prisoner had to leave a cell he was to wear a hood over his head, here try this on! . You look absolutely great, are you getting the idea of how it feels to be a prisoner here,

now take hold of my arms as we go down this hallway **

It was thought that if a prisoner spent all his time in isolation with just enough bland food to sustain him, he would begin to think of his actions that got him into this mess and repent.. .

Ok, you can take off your mask now, how do you like this cell, step in.....I hope you enjoy your stay! Ha! I have head that one before ,they all say they are innocent!

You are now prisoner # 3478 **
