Original Seduction
by Eileen

She offers him the fruit, the age old gesture.
"Just taste it," She says
"It will not hurt you. "
"Watch me"
She bites,
juices drip
down her chin.
"Taste it, taste me."
Nothing matters anymore
but her, those lips, that juice.
He watches
lowers his mouth ,
sips her poison.

Lassitude
by Eileen

late nights steal my energy
and give nothing
sleep eludes me
in restless sheet tangling battles
day breaks me
I surrender

"strong people aren't depressed
     only the weak and spineless
     straighten up and fly right
     get over it!"
     the vision shakes her head
     disavowing the notion
     of chemical imbalance

I seek the sun
in tiny green and yellow
promises
