Celeste de trump, as we all know, is the younger and more glamorous sister of Trevilla de Trump, one of the Grande Dames of Zimbabwean Drag. She has become what she has become through her witty and stylish performances, and her outrageously original costumes. 2001 was an especially good year for Celeste, who became a regular on the cabaret stage at La Vanhu. She was one of the Stars of the Moulin Rouge at the 2001 Jacaranda Queen Pageant, where she also revived her famous rendition of Eartha Kitt's "Champagne Tastes". She made a suprise guest appearance at the Gayzim Christmas party at The Matrix. Sadly, Celeste decided to go on sabbatical for most of 2002.

However at the end of 2002, Celeste was back with a bang. She was the star and hostess of the Celeste Crakerjack Christmas Show at the Matrix in Harare on 15th December. And what a wild occassion it was. All Harare's gay glitterati turned out to watch an extraordinary comeback. Celeste never looked so good. What costumes! What movements! What a show! The production features some of Harare's top drag artistes, such as Coco Meringue, and International Diva, Porn Slut to the Stars. There were also some fabulous new acts, including Anna Konda, Cumquat May and Suki Yuki. This is what a drag show should be. A great time was had by all.

2003 was a quiet year for Celeste. She made a guest appearance at the Stupid Cupid Valentine's party at the Matrix, and as always, was spectacular.She claims that she has hung up her heels until Zimbabwe is liberated.No amount of pleading from her fans will move her. But the good news is that she has already scripted her comeback show. The question remains when this will be?
