GRUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER CHARACTERS
NAME: Gruffy OCCUPATION: Vampire Slayer AGE: 26 BACKGROUND INFO: Gruffy was born in Cardiff and brought up in nearby Aberdare. He is the “chosen one” and accepts his calling, if a little reluctantly. As he puts it, his life is vampires, cars and girls; seemingly in that order. He is the proud owner of a Porsche ZX, a Jaguar S-Type, and a BMW Z8.
NAME: Mannie OCCUPATION: Watcher AGE: 24 BACKGROUND INFO: Mannie grew up in Bangor, and did not meet Gruffy until the age of 15, when they were informed of their callings and brought together as a consequence. Mannie is quick-witted and intelligent; sometimes too intelligent for the older Gruffy’s liking.
NAME: Janice OCCUPATION: Waitress, Gruffy’s sister AGE: 31 BACKGROUND INFO: Janice is Gruffy’s elder sister, and as so she is very protective of him. She finds it very hard to accept that her brother has been selected as the Slayer, and must combat the evil around them, but nevertheless supports him in whatever he does.
NAME: Monks OCCUPATION: Vampire AGE: 376 (yes, he’s been resurrected that many times!) BACKGROUND INFO: Monks is Robert Lindsay (Lindsay Roberts) favourite vampire from his flock, and he has earned a reputation for being cunning and sly when it comes to sucking blood. However, Monks is not your normal vampire, he extracts the blood of his victims through their knuckles – in this way many of his killings have gone unnoticed.
NAME: Robert Lindsay / Lindsay Roberts OCCUPATION: Head Vampire and Master of all evil AGE: 56 BACKGROUND INFO: Robert Lindsay (sometimes known as Lindsay Roberts when in female form) is the head vampire, and as so he controls all of Wales’ demons and bloodsuckers. He is Gruffy’s archenemy, extremely hard to destroy, and is frequently creating new evils. Can he ever be stopped?
NAME: Mademoiselle Sadie Dubois OCCUPATION: Brothel keeper AGE: 34 BACKGROUND INFO: Mademoiselle Sadie is the owner of a brothel in Aberdare, which is often the centre of Welsh vampire activities. She does not like calling Gruffy out to deal with these problems, as she believes that this would bring bad publicity for her and her girls.
NAME: Dougie Raymond OCCUPATION: Owner of Darkmans Club AGE: 26 BACKGROUND INFO: Dougie Raymond is the resident hard man in Aberdare, and likes to keep up appearances for the sake of fending off local bloodsuckers. As the owner of Darkmans, he is usually up to something suspicious, but just how suspicious…?
NAME: Johnny Crane OCCUPATION: Extravagant millionaire, vampire AGE: 33 BACKGROUND INFO: Johnny inherited a grand fortune when he was in his teens, and since his parents were dead at the time, he used the money to buy his elegant Edwardian mansion in Brecon. He lives a lonely life, and is driven by a lust for both blood and other things.
NAME: Comtess Monica d’Ildo OCCUPATION: Member of the Parisian elite AGE: 43 BACKGROUND INFO: The Comtess d’Ildo is a French widow, living on the outskirts of Paris. She is renowned amongst the local people as being under-handed and corrupt, and owns an infamous chain of cabaret bars in the city. Just what is she up to?
NAME: Diedrich Bunzovstiel OCCUPATION: Chauffeur for the Comtess d'Ildo AGE: 25 BACKGROUND INFO: Bunzovstiel is the loyal chauffeur to the Comtess d'Ildo, raised in France though his parents were Russian-Swedish. It is said he will go to any lengths to please his employer...need we say more?!?
NAME: Mademoiselle Blanche OCCUPATION: Mademoiselle Sadie's daughter amongst other things... AGE: 17 BACKGROUND INFO: Mademoiselle Blanche is the promisciuous and lively daughter of Mademoiselle Sadie, with whom she lives in Aberdare. She is never short of friends...particularly the male variety!
NAME: The Compte Gregore d'Ildo OCCUPATION: The late husband of the Comtess d'Ildo. AGE: 61 BACKGROUND INFO: The Compte makes his return to Paris when he suspects something is afoot between his wife the Comtess and her chauffeur, Diedrich Bunzovstiel. So desperate is the Compte to stop their affair that he's prepared to go to any lengths - even rising from the dead!
NAME: Agent 666 - Prince of Darkness, and that's Mr Prince of Darkness to you! OCCUPATION: Brother and sidekick to Robert Lindsay. AGE: 47 BACKGROUND INFO: Agent 666 is not only the younger brother of Robert Lindsay, but also Beelzebub himself according to many. There's certainly no doubt he's secured his place in Hell! Willing to do anything to outdo his brother, Agent 666 is a dangerous and cunning enemy to Gruffy and Mannie.
NAME: Sam Jenkins OCCUPATION: Essex wideboy, and cousin to Gruffy and Janice. AGE: 28 BACKGROUND INFO: Brought up in Essex, Sam is your regular wheeler-dealer. He's a good friend to Gruffy and Janice, his cousins, though his intentions towards Mannie are less than amiable.
