Katie here! You’ve heard a bit about me from Katherine, my best pal. Before I add some tidbits about being a Friendliette, I just have to clear something up. I am so not a hick chick anymore. I look relatively normal now. Thank you. :o)

Sixth Grade
This is the year Katherine and I started to go to Friendly’s all the time. We met Christina first, and she just loved us. Maybe because we made her job more interesting with all the silly things we said. I liked her a lot, and we even bought her an X-mas card for the holidays. We never gave it to her-I think I still have it somewhere-but we told her about it, and she told us that she had bought us $5 gift certificates but we never received them either. Oh well. I could use those five dollars. Sigh.

Joe. He was soooo HOT. He had thick almost black hair that he greased back with such care it was ridiculous. We always laughed when we watched him because every time he strutted by the mirrors he would lean down and check how he looked. He hated Katherine with a passion, and he hated me too until he found out I liked him. From then on he was nice as pie to me, seeing as I was part of his fan club… you probably know how he figured that out with the whole comment card business. At the time it was probably the stupidest thing I’d ever done…but it worked out well because I could flirt with him and not feel paranoid, cuz hey, he already knew I thought he was gorgeous! Actually, most of the Joe business happened in seventh grade…it’s all kinda a blur now, trying to tell one year apart from the next. So I’ll just head off into Seventh Grade.
