A friend of my Justin had always worn his hair long. Usually his red locks would be halfway down his back and in a ponytail. He swore he would never cut his hair short.

It was in our sophomore year of college that he met Traci. Justin tried to get a date with here but was always given the shrug. Finally, he asked her why.

She very bluntly told him. "If I would decide to go out with you, then you must get a haircut." Justin responded anything just as long as you will go out with me. Tracia told him that her brother was a barber and she would go on a date if he willing got his haircut per her directions. Justin agreed. He went to Traci brother's shop with Traci.

Once there Justin noticed most of the patrons were getting short haircuts. His turn came and Justin got into the chair. Traci said to her brother,” You know how I like m men give him your special.'" Before Justin knew what was happening his long red lock were buzzed from his head. Traci held his pony tail. Justin wanted to protest; but a date with Traci was on his mind. When Traci said shave him bald; Justin was ready to die.

Here he was submitting to the very thing he never intended; having his hair not just cut short but his head shaved bald. Reluctantly, he let Mike, Traci’s brother lather up his head and shave him bald. Justin was ready to cry as his rich red locks were first buzzed then his head lathered and shaved. He closed his eyes during the whole process .Justin was afraid to see what was going on.

After it was over Traci agreed he looked just right. Justin enjoyed his date. And to his surprise they became close and finally engaged. Justin had never expected to find his hair was no longer important.

 For Traci he pledges to remain bald. And bald he remained; though he missed his full head of hair; for Traci it was worth to become bald for a date.
