Chapter Two

"Finally, Friday has come!" Destiny exclaimed as Tulsa High let out that day.
"Yeah, now we can think about more important things…sleep!" Megan said shifting her books from her left arm to her right.
"Yeah, and did you hear about that party last night? Some guy told Destiny off!" Amanda Hill exclaimed bursting into a fit of giggles. "He really liked you, Des!"
"Haha. Shut up Mandy," Destiny exclaimed rolling her eyes. "AHHH!!!!" she screamed as she fell to the hard cement ground. "Watch where your going!" she said from the ground.
"I’m sorry. I didn’t notice you there town slut," a male voice sounded.
"What the hell? I thought I left you at that party last night," Destiny moaned getting to her feet. Her friends around her were giggling.
"So, what brings you around here?" Taylor asked.
"I’m leaving school you moron," Destiny said brushing off her baby blue jeans and hoisting her purse to her right shoulder.
"Right," Taylor said. "Listen slut, party seven thirty, my place. Be there," Taylor said and handed her a slip of paper.
"Is this some joke?" she inquired.
Taylor shook his head. "No joke. Be there," he said and took off.
Destiny stood there with the paper in her hand watching Taylor take the corner. "I think someone likes you," Megan said.
Destiny shook her head. "I don’t believe so. Taylor is my enemy. He hates me. But I have no clue why he invited me to a party," she said staring at the paper with wonder.

Destiny, Amanda and Megan arrived at Taylor’s house at seven thirty sharp. Getting out of the drivers door, Destiny looked at the house. No one was there. It seemed like there was no party at all.

"I have a really bad feeling about this," Destiny said stepping up to them on the opposite side of the car. She began to rub her bare arms.
"Let’s go," Amanda said starting a walk up the driveway. Only one car remained in the driveway, a green Accord. Amanda bravely rang the doorbell only to be greeted by a little boy. "We’re here to see your brother, Taylor," she said.

The boy told them to wait and ran inside. Taylor appeared a few minutes later. His smile grew when he saw Destiny. Megan saw this and nudged Destiny in the ribs.

"Welcome ladies. Would you please come in?" Taylor said holding the door open for them. "Well, we have the house all to ourselves…except for little Mackie. Otherwise, its all ours," Taylor said plopping down on the couch. He patted the spot next to him and said, "Destiny, gonna come sit by me?"
Destiny gave him a weird look. "Not likely," she spatted. Taylor looked at her and began to pout. "Oh don’t give me that," she said crossing her arms over her chest. "So, why did you ask me to come here if there is no party?"
"Because, I thought it be fun to hang out," Taylor said.
"Taylor, get real. You hate me. You think I’m a slut. Why would l want anything to do with you?" Destiny said. Her friends remained silent listening to the conversation.
"I don’t hate you," he said quietly.
"What was that?" Destiny asked.
"I said I don’t hate you," Taylor said raising his eyes to her. He then looked over at the others. "Can you let us talk a minute?" he asked.
"Sure," Megan said getting Amanda to get up and leave with her. Taylor watched then leave then patted the seat next to him. Destiny refused.
"Destiny, would you please come over here? I don’t bite," Taylor said.
"Not until you tell me what’s going on," Destiny said.
"I can’t. At least not now anyway," Taylor said.
Destiny got up and began towards him. She leaned down, and grabbed his shirt collar and yanked his face to hers so they were barely touching. "Taylor, don’t play these damn games with me. What the hell is going on?"
Taylor smiled at her and raised a hand to her cheek and gently brushed it. "Destiny, you’ll never know," he whispered.
Destiny reached her hand up to slap his away. "Don’t touch me," she said. "You call me the town slut. If you even liked me a little bit, you wouldn’t have said that to me," she said.
Taylor brought his hands to hers and held them by her wrists. "Des, listen to me," he said his eyes searching hers. "I do that because everyone was around. I never even thought of you as a slut," he said.
Destiny snarled. "If you cared for me, Taylor, you’d never care what anyone has to think," she snorted. "As for you, don’t touch me again," she said and ripped her hands away. She yelled into the other room. "Let’s go girls. This party is over."
Once the girls got into the room, Destiny looked back at Taylor, flipped her hair over her shoulders and marched out of the house. She was not amused one bit.

"I can’t believe he did that," Megan said that following Monday. "He must like you, Des," she said picking up a fry and eating it.
"I don’t care if Taylor likes me or not. I don’t like him and that’s that. He has no sense whatsoever about women and being kind to them. He isn’t worth any of my time," Destiny said taking a sip of her soda.
"I say you lay him and just get rid of him," Amanda said.
Destiny made a disgusted face. "God no! Why would I want that in me?"
The girls laughed. "He looks like he’d be a good fuck anyway," Megan said.
"She does have a point, Des," Amanda agreed.
"Well, for your information, I don’t need to sleep with him. I’m not that desperate," Destiny said. Again, the girls laughed.
"Well, you can always use payback," Megan suggested.
Then Amanda perked up. "Yeah. Make him think you want him. Get what you want out of him."
"But guys, I don’t want anything from him," Destiny said.
"Yeah, but you like teasing guys…Taylor’s male. Why don’t you tease him?" Megan asked.
Destiny perked up herself a little and began thinking. She narrowed her eyes and looked directly at her friends. "This may be one of the best things I’ve heard all week. If Taylor think he likes me now, wait till he sees what I have planned for him next," she said, her eyes still narrowed. She always liked making men horny for more, and her next target was Taylor Hanson.
