The Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Manggagawang Pilipino lambasted the Regional Wage Boards today due to the measly wage increase they have granted to the workers.

"Our parents are the main engineers of this nation, how come that the government continues to ignore their sector. The P26.50 they have given to our parents is but a peanut compared to the huge pizza of profits feasted by capitalists especially those in the oil industries." Erwin Puhawan, KAMPI National Chairperson said.

"As we said before, the wage board is not reliable in the crusade of raising our parents' basic pay. That is why, from the start, we are pressing for a legislated wage increase as these boards are fond of granting negligible wage hikes aside from it being full of exemptions."

"The RTWPB seems to be defying the law that created them. Congress need not a tap in the buttocks just to be reminded that these phenomenon usually command abolition."

"We invite students to support the scheduled labor demonstrations as a support to our parents. The students should remember that from these salaries came their baon and their tuition." he ended. ###
