Calze

Herald mentions Italian women of the quattrocentro wearing stockings. I have yet to run across either any Italian pictures or any inventories that mention stockings, but you have to have something on your feet when you wear shoes. Considering that there is documentation for the English women wearing stockings and since the Italian men had their falze (tights), I think it is safe to assume that the Italian women had some sort of legwear. Baring other evidence, I am going to assume they wore stockings.
