These are for my mother. They are made out of a 3-ply yarn called Wings classic elite yarns. Its 55% alpaca 23 % silk 22% wool and its a dream to work with. Its spun 15% hollow to hold air like goose down and create "warmth without weight". Which is perfect for my mother who wants these to keep her feet warm during the winter months. I used elastic in the ankles to get the tightness mother wanted too.
The stitch is UOU/OUOO, just like the purple and green socks and uses the same double spiral technique.
