Kiara's Heraldry Page

July 7, 2000 - Recieved an email from the Academy of St. Gabriel regarding the 16th century female version of O'Fathaigh. They list it as inghean ui Fhothaidh, so I am going to submit the name Ciar inghean ui Fhothaidh to the An Tir College of Heralds and hope it passes.

November 9, 2000 - Finally downloaded the proper emails from St. Gabriel's, filled out the An Tir Heralds Submission form, made three copies of the packet and sent off my name in the mail with a $12 check. Now begins the six month wait. It could take less time (it could take more), but six months is a good expectation meter. I think Kendra's passed in less than three, but she had a nice easy English name and I have one of those complicated Irish Gaelic names. But at least I finally know how to pronounce my name.

April 12, 2001 - I found out that my name is at Laurel. It passed Kingdom around February and should be back around June.

July 30, 2001 - YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My name passed! My name passed!!! passed! With no changes. After seven years....sigh.........Now to work on my device. I have also been working on my boyfriend's name. I believe he has settled for some version of Coilean Mical Montgomery. And his brother wants Lee O'Shea. We are also working on a new household name as half of the House of the Twisted Rose went away and more people have joined. More on all that later.
