Pictures of Me

The following are pictures of me taken by friends, some of whom are professional photographers as well..

Baby Cindy

I believe I am about one or two years old in this picture. My mom made the frilly dress I'm wearing. This picture has been color corrected using Adobe Photoshop.

Cindy Cat

This is the most recent picture of me. Can you tell I've aged some? Hee hee. Here I am showing off my new kitty ears that, gosh, look like the surrounding leaves! My wonderful boyfriend, Travis Fricke, took this photo while I was in Ithaca, NY. For you fellow Southerners, they actually have real seasons that go on there.

Dancing

My friend Rachel Cook took this photo of me on pointe in the Texas Union Ballroom. Its a cool photo because the flash didn't go off so the picture came out back lit. Because I'm not especially great at dancing on pointe, this picture was the only one that didn't come out somewhat blurry. Hee hee. Very amusing.

With My Violin

Donna Goertz, my cute and gothic buddy, took this photo back in 1998 by her house. I made the dress which is made out of this beautiful red irridescent tafetta and black mesh, but you can't really tell! It was exhibited in an art show the following month. Donna is a graphics designer and she's really cool. You can view her artwork here. My violin teacher, Donald Wright, is about the most senile and interesting instructor I've ever met. He is first chair viola at the Austin Symphony Orchestra.

I'm all dressed up for Donna's Bleeding Hearts Fest 1998 which was actually her birthday party on Valentine's Day. Benjamin Kemble accompanied me and we were accused of looking like a Gothic Wedding Cake couple. When I find a picture of the two of us together, I'll put it up. But yeah, I guess they were right. At this lovely party we ran into the imfamous Mr. Molly who couldn't keep her hands off of Ben's crotch. Ugh. We promptly left after that.

Lounging

Clark Patterson, a former buddy who I don't really associate with anymore took this picture of me back in 1996. I don't smoke anymore, btw even though I made the conversion from playing a wind instrument (flute) to playing a string instrument (violin). Clark's started out freelancing and has had no formal training as a photographer. He actually majored in government and even went to law school for a few years untill he figured out what he wanted to do with his life.

Oooh look! My reflection

This is an OLD picture of me. I think Nancy Wang took this back in 1995 in my dorm, Littlefield. I have digitally altered this on a bit so you can't see nancy standing in her cut offs snapping the shot in the mirror (no offense nance:) ) Nancy was my roommate freshman year and we had fun fucking with everyone else's minds while we lived there. I wouldn't say we were particularly well liked, but oh well, we had our fun!

WHoo hoo!

Of course I own a corset! I'm wearing Donna's skirt and shoes that she bought from "The Black Rose" in London. Unfortunately, you can't see either of them. That's where she had her honeymoon. Cool eh? Fortunately, I do have pictures of the lovely Donna and Ryan. You can also see their Gothic wedding here.

My Favorite Picture of All Time

If you haven't figured out by now, I did have a bit of a Neo-Gothic streak in me. Meera Karina took this picture in 1997 right before Troy's Autumn Festival party. It was breath takeing, believe me. The corset I'm wearing is the one I made for UT's annual Madrigal Dinner.

Me in Drag

Cute eh? I'm wearing Ryan's (Donna's Husband) clothing which was WAY TOO BIG! That's okay though. How often does one get to be a drag king? This picture was taken in 1998.
