Forget Sporty Spice. Mel C has gone glam, donning blonde hair extensions in the film clip for her latest single, I Turn To You. Almost unrecognisable from her last single, Never Be The Same Again, which saw her on a running machine with cropped hair, the new-look Mel is all woman.
Wearing a fitted pink singlet that harks back to her early Spice Girls days, Mel looks just like the rest of her super-girlie bandmates. But, while she's got the blonde hair and the feminine clothes, Mel hasn't bowed to pressure by losing her muscly figure. In fact, the singlet helps show off those hard-earned muscles, rather than hide them.
Insiders say it's an attempt to put to rest rumours that she's a lesbian. For months, Mel's been plagued by stories that she's involved with her personal assistant, Chai Ying Yau, and that her romance with Five's J was a front.
But don't expect the new look to continue. Mel's already had the extensions removed, is styling her hair the way she wants, and wearing the clothes she's comfortable in.
