Rhythm of the Coast:
Exploring BC's Sunshine Coast & Vancouver Island
by Kim Applegate & Tim Demuynck
The dark, damp asphalt sags beneath the weight
of so many exhaust spewing, pollution-pumping automobiles. Fwip! Fwip! Fwip!
Beating windshield wipers tick off seconds of muted lives, grinding it out in
the Metropolis. Morning and evening rush hours ooze into a single blight of
crowded street, offering no escape and no hope.
Caught in the freeway’s crush,
Kim and Tim’s thoughts cling to recollections of a better time. Memories
filled with sunshine and joy. A time when they were free to travel without pause
or nary a traffic light. To the time of their tour around the Sunshine Coast and
Vancouver Island, when their souls were free to soar unencumbered…
Join us in our escape
from the Metropolis! Our mad dash takes us to the Sunshine Coast community's of
Gibson's Landing, Sechelt, and Powell River. Then we cross the waters to the
Comox Valley, Qualicum Beach, and Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.
