History of the Collective

1992- Shannon moves into a room in Ben's basement. Over the next 8 years she repeatedly suggests that Ben start a band (the next Nirvana!) called "Shannon's Room".

1997- Ben started a zine

1999- Germ started a zine

Winter 2000- Sara started a zine
Ben came into contact with Steve through Ben's zine's website
(Steve started doing zines in '99 i think but I'm not sure)

Spring 2000- Jon started a zine
Ross began the process of starting a zine
Cara began the process of starting three zines
Ben contacts the other kids about starting the collective
The other kids say "sure, a collective sounds like a grand idea"
Jon makes vague threatening references to something called "F.A.N.G."
Germ and Ben start working on the Website

Summer 2000- germ & Ben hang out and make beautiful music.
Jon hurtles toward zion.
Steve's existence is put into question.
an angry woman tells germ, "get out of the way, hillbilly!" at July 4th celebration.
Jon changes name to Yonatan in a fit of jewish hysteria.
